The Big Cure Milestone Celebration

Last week, “Pilgrim” donors of The Big Cure—a partnership between TTUHSC and the John Wayne Cancer Foundation—celebrated a major milestone: the Big Cure Endowment surpassed its $10 million fundraising goal, reaching $11.3 million!

The endowment supports solutions to improve cancer care in rural and underserved communities, including access to specialized physicians, advanced resources, and the latest treatment options.

During the gathering, Ethan Wayne shared that it was his father John Wayne’s dying wish to have his name used to fight cancer. Since then, the foundation has helped establish more than 160 John Wayne Alumni Fellows who now treat cancer patients nationwide.
